Ojetivos

Os objetivos gerais são os seguintes

 

  • o estudo contrastivo de uma série de fenómenos associados ao potencial combinatório de lexemas significativos de alemão, espanhol e português,

  • o desenvolvimento de uma metodologia empírica adequada ao contraste de estudos lexicológicos e

  • a aplicação dos resultados, especialmente relevante em contextos de aquisição de segundas línguas e línguas estrangeiras, através do desenvolvimento de um sistema de informação léxico-gramática digital e multilingue.

Área de estudo

A área temática compreende unidades léxicas simples e complexas nos domínios verbal e nominal no ambiente dos vários paradigmas léxico-semânticos do alemão, espanhol e português (e ocasionalmente também do inglês e holandês). Os principais paradigmas estudados são a EMOÇÃO e a COMUNICAÇÃO verbal e nominal (Proost 2007; Harras et al. 2004; 2007). Estão previstos outros estudos sobre os paradigmas de PERCEPÇÃO, LOCUÇÃO e TRANSFERÊNCIA para uma segunda fase do projeto.

Bases teóricas e metodológicas

Numa perspetiva teórica, o projeto está particularmente interessado nas inter-relações entre o significado lexical e as propriedades combinatórias do léxico. O projeto assenta numa vasta gama de fundamentos teóricos, relacionados tanto com a semântica lexical (Coseriu 1986; Geckeler 1982, Lutzeier 1981) como com a linguística cognitiva (Langacker 1987, 1991) e teorias da valência e da gramática de construção (Ágel 2000, Engel 2004; Goldberg 1995, Jacobs 2009; Welke 2011). O trabalho fundamenta-se numa base empírica desenvolvida para a língua alemã principalmente por Engelberg e a sua equipa de investigação (2011) e num modelo de descrição de estudos lexicais contrastivos concebido pelo grupo de investigação DICONALE (González Ribao/Meliss 2015; Meliss 2014a, 2014b, 2015a; Meliss/Sánchez Hernández 2015).

Fundamentos empíricos

Alguns dos desafios mais importantes deste projeto são (i) a seleção adequada de corpora linguísticos comparáveis e paralelos para a análise contrastiva de diferentes línguas, (ii) a utilização máxima dos recursos e ferramentas digitais existentes (motores de busca, etc.) para facilitar a análise/codificação manual de amostras representativas de lexemas, (iii) a extensão dos dados através da geração/extração automática de informação e (iv) a visualização de alguns dados relevantes sobre a frequência, etc.

O trabalho baseia-se num corpus de referência selecionado a partir das línguas a investigar (DEREKO-CosmasII, CREA, CORPES XXI, CRPC, etc.) para a extração manual e análise dos dados relevantes (González Ribao 2015a; González Ribao/Meliss 2016; Mas Álvarez/Rojo 2004).

Os dados gerados automaticamente a partir de grandes corpora multilingues (Web-Corp) -especialmente os relacionados com coocorrências e co-localizações lexicais- são também tidos em conta para a análise, como proposto por diferentes ferramentas (CCDB, perfis lexicais DWDS, vocabulário do portal Uni-Leipzig, etc.), e são também disponibilizados ao utilizador do sistema de informação léxico-gramática digital.
